Great! I sat in a new one back on a dealer's sales lot in the 60's.. Couldn't believe how nice it was. I was a newly graduated engineer and the price was about equal to a yearly salary. But I was getting married in a few weeks ________

Did you ever buy a Porsche?
;)
NO. But I did own a Triumph TR3a and an MGB plus 2 Karmann Ghias at one time.

I believed a wife was more important than a car but did call her my sports car often. I was married for 35 years to my late wife and 21 and counting to my present wife.

At a quick glance, I assumed this was a slammed E-type Jaguar. Then I noticed that it looked a bit more like Picasso’s version of an E-type coupe. Any idea of what exactly are we looking at here — a kit car turned art installation perhaps?
Correct. It was Jaguar art model made of plywood in Regent park in London in 2019.

I don’t remember Corollas ever looking so good. Back in the 80’s I had a ‘77 Celica GT coupe — it would make for a great project car these days as putting a more recent BEAMS engine in one of these cars seems to be relatively straightforward.

Ironically that Corolla with what appears to be a set of Wantanabe wheels makes me think of something like a Nova running a set of A.R.E. Torq-Thrust wheels back in the day.
