I spent several hours yesterday walking around Jogashima Island. It was a good day.

Noob, and learning...

Noob, and learning...

Hi All,
I'm new to Foveon and Sigma. I've been intrigued by the Foveon idea for some years and finally decided to get an SDQ in early March, along with a 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary and Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM. To date, almost all images have been with the 18-300.
Been into Photography since 1960 and settled into M4/3 some 9 yrs ago.
Anyway, I have a lot to learn about the SDQ, and loving the process.
I have been 'viewing' your images for some time, and hope to eventually also create good stories with the SDQ.
AS an Intro, on my first day with the SDQ, I walked out through our local large open area - a combo of UCSB Eco Preserve and our city's (Goleta, CA, USA) Sperling Preserve. I'm blessed to live at it's boundary. Took a quick pic from one of my fav spots to sit and observe, eastward towards Coal Oil Point.
I don't restrict myself to any category or type, although currently much of my imaging is outdoor oriented.
Looking forward to learning much from you all.
