My Sigma DP1 has "the lens stuck out with a rattle inside fault" common to this camera. I must say that I was upset and angry when the camera broke as it was just out of warranty. I recently asked a UK company to give me an estimate to repair it and they said it was beyond economical repair. I have seen sketchy accounts of a repair on the net, people have bought a printed circuit cable off Ebay from China and fitted it to their SD1. I believe this repair leaves the lens in the fully extended position. Is this repair worth doing and how easy would it be to do myself, instructions and advice would be most appreciated.
