Hi all.

Seems that i will have to go to southern Brazil (Foz do Iguassu) for work, one week, in the beginning of August.
I can travel either via Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. I will have a few days to spend in one of these places just as a tourist.

Which way should I take?
I know virtually nothing about Sao Paulo, except that it's a huge city.

Tips regarding what-to-do in Foz are also welcome.

thanks

Rio, without any doubt. São Paulo is interesting as a megacity, but Rio is unique in the world. Don't miss on it.

Wouter has it right. I've been to Brazil more than twenty times and never spent more than an hour in Sao Paulo, in the airport. There just isn't any good reason, other than commerce. Brazil will keep you captivated, no matter how much time you have there. If i were to visit another place, aside from Rio, you could consider Buzios over SP.

But, be VERY CAREFUL in Brazil. Do not openly carry anything of value, and that includes a camera. Do a search for information or email me.
