UK Region North West UK meetings/Events Calendar...

Saturday 2nd April

Saturday 2nd April

Anyone fancy meeting for a catch-up and shoot this Saturday?

I don't know of any specific events, so all suggestions welcome. Failing that we can just do the city centre.

Bob. :)

I'll be coming along Bob, whether you like it or not:) I have seen the guys from the Manchester Flickr site are going to be there too. Had a search and can't find any main events going on though if the weather stays decent it should bring a good crowd out.

April Events...

Okay it's April guys!

The events I know of so far this month are:

Holcombe Egg Rolling
Ramsbottom, Lancashire
Good Friday 22nd April
www.ukvillages.co.uk/News/1582/Go+egg+rolling+during+spring+holidays+in+Lancashir e

Coco Nutters Dance
Bacup, Lancashire
Easter Sunday 24th April
www.coconutters.co.uk

They should both be good events, but aren't really all-dayers and may be a little difficult for some to get to.

I imagine there must be many more events on over Easter, so please post up anything you know of.

Bob. :)

Lewis Photographica [continuing] meet every Monday in an Lanntair in Stornoway midday ish. North West you said :)

I'll most likely be there with my wife and two kids. Wont stop me from saying 'hi' and grabbing a beer / coffee. If the sunshines, it should be a nice day out.

I'd love to go. Probably a bit Northerly for me at the moment, but some of us do travel down from Scotland, so you never know. ;)

Well I'm hoping to see the Bacup Nutters though it's probably only a couple of hours shooting, unless you follow them on the whole route.

29th April is Royal Wedding day and I thought I'd go into Manchester to see who celebrating etc then I came across this. Being held in one of our favourite areas in Manchester it looks as though there could be plenty of shooting to be had. Think I'll give this a try.

Looks promising. However I don't get the royal wedding off, so I'll probably have to skip that one. :(

Friday 29th April - THE ROYAL WEDDING.

Plans are afoot to go into Manchester for the day to shoot the Royal wedding celebrations in the Northern Quarter.

Royal Wedding Street Party in the Northern quarter & big TV in Spinningfields
Manchester
Friday 29th April
http://northernquarterstreetparty.co.uk/

As ever, all welcome. :)

I think I've pretty much managed to sort out childcare, so I should be in, this time around, Bob. Usual time & location, I presume?

Good man! I thought they might have roped you in to protecting the Queen.

I did wonder if we should hit the streets earlier than usual. Perhaps just meet up in the Northern Quarter, that way we can catch them setting up and the big weddingy bit at 11.30. After that we could go for a leisurely cucumber sandwich.

What's your thoughts?

I'm quite flexible (metaphorically) - the earlier we arrive, the more light we potentially have, ergo the more shots we could potentially take and the more we could fit into the day.
