There is so much "wrong" with this photograph, but I love it. The atmosphere is really good. It has a feel good wibe, and makes me feel like I just got a glimpse of a very special moment. To me, it has a feminine wibe. I envision this is the glimpse a grand mother or mother (could be the father) sees from the kitchen watching the grand dad playing with his grand child. Not sure, well I do not think, it would feel as real if had been "perfect."

Strong portrait. Really like her look, and the "seriousness" of the whole scene.

Thanks. I am very happy with this picture, and how it (at least to me) shows how the girl brought a bit of chaos into the family...and loves all the attention...and how "mom" uses the the others to get herself some time to eat.

I like these kind of pictures - i.e. pictures that make my mind take a little hike in them.

One in our group released a wet slide, that could have been bad if it had travelled 30 meters further - if it had, it would have increased in speed and crossed the path of the upcomming skiers. Wet slides are really slow, but they are also really heavy. They typically do not kill you, but break your legs. I had skied first without releasing any snow, but one of the slower skieres traversed the snow more, and sunk deeper (due to slower speed) - he also choose a different path (crossing the snow in the steepest slope)...and this ended up cutting a layer. It passed/hit a lower skier, who luckily was able to stand his ground. We were aware of the risks, and chose a realtively low risk path...but in hindsight should have skied down one of the old avalanche paths. As for photography, I only take photos going up, as taking them on the way down removes my focus from the skiing,E

I like this. Simple, but still some complexity to keep it interesting.
