Shooting Eastman (Double-X) 5222 in the Leica

Only perhaps how the prices have gone up :) So buy a 400' roll and pull of 3' or so, and wind it up in a 35mm cartridge. No bulk loader to scratch things up. THE TOM.A METHOD. Keep scissors in back pocket. Cheapest way to XX heaven

So… what is there to NOT like about Eastman 5222 Double X film?😉
The only things not to like are weird sprocket holes (some cameras with drives won’t handle it) and, historically anyway, slightly lower qa/qc because it’s designed and formulated to be printed on film which goes past a projection lens at 24 frames/second. These days, all the Kodak films are probably made on the same production line. Otherwise it’s close to perfect 👍🏻

I've been shooting in my studio with Hasselblad, SRT's, Mamyflex C22, Minolta Autocord. With 120 and 35mm 5222 XX. Should be quite interestingly delicious in medium format. Not as much enlarged grain, but luscious XX middle values. And cinematic sort of IMAX 70mm vibe which I like a lot. 50's Eastman Retro B&W

Will post prints as I have time.
