Hello - I recently acquired a Mamiya 6 Automat and took it out for the first time today. I noticed that it will not cock the shutter when the speed is set at 1/500 sec. All other speeds seem to work fine. I know the spring is a lot stronger at 1/500 and it seems that the arm that rotates to cock the shutter just can't quite make it at that speed. Once the film is advanced I can cock the shutter manually, but that kind of defeats the reason for having an "Automat". Any thoughts? I'm about to develop the first roll of film and see how they look.
Edit: Developed the roll and there is another problem apparently. The first 8 images are fine. The 9th image is only half a frame. It's like it stopped advancing or something. The remaining frames are badly overexposed, so badly that I can't even make out anything. Major disappointment so far.
