The Fuji things are really good. Stunning image quality, if you care a thing about that. I'm a petite woman with bird-bones and I can fit the X100(s-t-f) in a purse, pocket, my hoodie-hoo (sorry! some hyperbolic there!!). And 35mm equiv and marvelous quality.... You can find an X100 for 300 euros ...

the camera you wish to have is the same I hardly would like to have, but probably it won't sell enough, even if I bet that a camera close to the t2/t3 design would sell...
I got a x70 with an old viewfinder but I guess the x100 is more similar. Get something used, there's so much around with no real reason to keep producing new models.

All interesting comments above and really carefully considered recommendations.
For size, similar haptics, build solidity, ease of use and plain fun the Ricoh GRIII cropped to 35 is hard to beat. The OVF has 35mm frame lines that are great.
I wonder what the OP ended up with...
