I was wondering what the forum experience is with making books/booklets of photos. There are a few vendors from Costco/Shutterfly on up to MIller and other high-end pro printers. So I am wondering who has experience with these printers and what were those experiences?

I have had great success with Edition One in San Francisco. Edition One The founder Ben Zlotkin has a MFA in Photography. In fact, most of the employees have art backgrounds.

Edition One is not a "print on demand" like Blurb where they print a copy, then if you want another, they print it. Edition One works like a real book printer where you specify the size of the print run and that is what they print. So cost for a few books is very high due to the setup cost but all works out when you have a reasonable sized print run. You will get a proof to approve before they start printing and then every copy will look exactly like the proof.
