W/NW - Musicians

A few of Jackson Browne and the late David Lindley taken back in 2010. While I particularly enjoyed JB's acoustic renditions of his own tunes that night (whether played solo or with the accompaniment of DL), one of the true highlights was David's solo performance the tune he and Wally Ingram wrote: "Cat Food Sandwiches". Fortunately a few people managed to capture video of DL performing Cat Food Sandwiches while he was still around as can be seen out on YouTube. (My apologies if I've already posted these exact same images in the past.)

New Orleans, Louisiana 2008 - "Second Line" or jazz funeral march for local musician Billy Ding who was run over by a drunk driver in the French Quarter. Second lines usually attract a large number of musicians from different groups. But when the deceased was a popular local musician, almost everyone came. After 2 1/2 hours, the police said it was time to stop blocking traffic on Frenchmen Street and move the celebration elsewhere.
