I just stepped out of a bento shop with my lunch in one hand, a drink in the other and my camera hanging around my neck. I saw this MG coming my way so I quickly juggled things around and managed to get my camera up to my face in time to get these two images.

As I grew up, my father drove MGs: a TD, a TF 1500, an MGA, and an MGB. He bought the TD the year I was born, and I don't remember it, but I well remember the other three! My sister's name is Gail and we used to sit side-by-side in the passenger seat. Our father told us that "MG" stood for "Murray and Gail."
My dad turned 50 in December of 1967. A month later, he traded the MGB in on a Rover 2000 TC, an English luxury sport sedan that I had turned him on to! The Rover was a more expensive car, but we had recently sold some property, so there was some extra in the bank to draw on.
Thanks for another memory, Mike!

I am sure that the designer who had to design this station wagon version didn't even like looking at it when he finished. Here's the one from behind!

Wagons are hot now days, Mike. Thanks for posting those pics!
Thank you, AOA, I thought it looked pretty cool. It's certainly (IMO) an excellent subject for photography.
All the best,
Mike

This one takes the crown, I mean Corona! Even the white tire sidewalls are mint.Sticking with the Station Wagon theme, here's a nice old Toyota Corona Station Wagon that somebody is keeping in mint condition.

Buddy of mine had something similar as his first car, many years ago. I always thought that his most interesting cars were his earlier ones, when he didn't have a lot of money!Sticking with the Station Wagon theme, here's a nice old Toyota Corona Station Wagon that somebody is keeping in mint condition.

I remember the VW Brasília from my time in Brazil (1973, 1975 - 1977). That was a good-looking car.
(Do you live in Brazil?)
