Nikon Corporation unveiled the newly renovated Nikon Museum inside its new headquarters in Nishioi, Shinagawa, Tokyo on Wednesday, October 9. At the opening ceremony, held prior to the museum's public opening on Saturday, October 12, a new exhibition concept was revealed that combines the company's history with its latest technology.
The Nikon Museum is a corporate museum showcasing Nikon's history of optical and precision technology spanning more than 100 years since the company was founded in 1917. It was originally opened in Shinagawa Intercity to commemorate Nikon's 100th anniversary in July 2017, but has now been reopened following the relocation of the company to its new headquarters.
