Wow, marketing based on "tundra brown"!? A limited edition camera strap? I wonder if the batteries are limited edition in tundra brown? All for a mere $14,000... What a deal for the discerning, courageous tundra explorer. Tundra brown???.

An accompanying Indiana Jones outfit would round out the ensemble I reckon. 😊

At the very least they could include the hat and an Indiana Jones shoulder bag (as shown above) with each Explorer camera kit.

The x2d looks cool to me from a user experience perspective, and this color also looks pretty fashionable
however it is not in the same order of magnitude as my camera budget plus i dont need a lot of megapixels anyways

That's almost US$6K for a paint job. Talk about getting screwed and not kissed after.

I don't need Tundra Brown... I recently bought a Fujifilm GFX100SII for much less than half the price and it's skinned with genuine BISHAMON-TEXâ„¢ rubber!
Not only is the BISHAMON-TEXâ„¢ beautiful, it also improves the grip!
Strap and camera are black noir color!!!
All the best,
Mike

The price for the Tundra body is about the same as the ordinary with a XCD 55V lens. That tundra paint job deal is plain dumb. OTOH, I love my X2D and am always impressed with the IQ.

The X2D feels lovely in the hand but, for me, costs too much more than the GFX 100S for me to consider. Brown? I suppose it’s an option, even though I’d just get a black one.

Cost is a problem. I sold all my grandchildren in order to buy it and the lens. The good news with the X2D is that a Sonnar completely covers the sensor and I have a few.

Comes in handy for street shooting!

It looks like a nice gift, as the box contains everything a person would need to get started. But compared with buying standard-issue components a la carte, you are paying a substantial premium (~1500 USD?) for the convenience, plus an exclusive color/splash screen/matching strap. Perhaps it will fetch a modest premium in resale, but in the long run, it's a piece of consumer electronics.

X2D is worth it but would never pay extra for glam on a camera. My X2d is likely last one will buy, the detail is stunning even at higher iso, it's like my old film Mamiya, always same results.
