I thought I'd pass this along for anyone in the Chicago area: http://www.auctionconsultants.net/details.asp?auctionID=74

I haven't been in this store for about 6 months, so I'm not entirely sure how much equipment is there, but from the pictures, it looks just as crowded as it was then. I imagine this auction is going to take all day. By the way, I have no relation to anyone involved. I just saw the ad and thought I'd pass it along.

I used to live in Buffalo Grove, not too far from Dundee, but I do not remember this place. Do you know when it opened?

Cheers,

David

Glad it's in Chicago, that's too far for me to travel. I'd go for the big red illuminated "Leica" sign on the wall. Fifth image from the bottom at the auction site.

Good grief! They could be there a week. Or they will lump stuff into big lots. Then you might have to buy a bushel of stuff to get the one thing you wanted.

Yes, I'm glad it's in Chicago.

Hey!!! I've been to Buffalo Grove!!!

And no one...I mean no one should be allowed to post something like this here...
I could only scroll down half way and had to stop looking...
This is not fair...I need to go kick something now...

hmmm, I'm only 60 minutes away.... need a tripod, betcha those enlargers will go cheap, maybe another projector and a slide viewer...

*slap*

oh, yeah, real estate taxes due next week. never mind!

I'm glad I cannot go! Imagine...

But then, I'm on sabbatical for one year, that's at half salary. Very little purchasing power left... :(

My wife gets sabatical next semester (Waubonsee CC); she got to choose one semester full pay, or the whole year half pay. She would have loved full year, but we just couldn't swing it financially :(

Good thing I'm busy (and broke!).

I'm been there a few times over the past couple years when I've been in the area. It's a nice place with some good stuff. Sad to see them going.
