Notes:

The final coat of paint has set up enough to be exposed to the elements. In the clear, cold pre-dawn, the gloss is impressive. After focusing and setting the aperture, I engaged the self timer and set the camera on a fence rail.

I see LHA on the hull, port side. Is this a Navy ship? I was on an LHA for a while, neat vessel! Great "long" exposure shot.

Good viewpoint, gives us a real sense of the enormity of the vessel.

I believe that this is the USS Tarawa. When I was in the Navy, I had a buddy from Photo School stationed on her sister, USS Saipan, LHA-2. Great shot. That haze gray paint didn't stay nice and glossy like that for long.
