Cool. But why's it that everybody is out of town?

I like this a lot. Looks like an excellent place to shoot a series with and without people.

Thanks, I want to go back with a Yashica GSN which calculates up to 30 seconds exposure (aperture priority). And get some with and without people. I do have another shot with people but the girl is hitching up her pants and somehow it's not quite right

Great Capture of loneliness in town. Reminds me of Edward Hopper's paintings.

Nice shot. If this is in Chinatown, where are all the people?

It's actually around the corner from my house, in the Parkside district (next to Outer Sunset, near the Zoo and Ocean Beach). It's a residential area with a large Asian population.

Just what everyone else said. Did you use the camera's meter reading to determine the exposure, or some other method?

I used the meter more or less, it was calling for a longer exposure than I could hold steady. I think I took it at 1/30 second.

Agree with all of the above. Nice night shot!

Wow, great night scene, with some people walking (not hitching pants ) and a slow shutter speed, spooky style would be great as well.

The interplay of light and shadows masks the feeling of loneliness (for me). Great shot!

Like a set from a movie. An atmosphere of impersonal loneliness. Very good.
