I am supprised that no one has commented on this. A great shot of this fabulous example of the lead sled car design. Love it! - jim

Thanks, guys... This gorge - 3000ft deep in places - is a tributary canyon to the Grand Canyon, where we saw a few more such risks taken. Before I approached for this photo, this gal's male companion had posed similarly as she made photos of him. The unnecessary risk boggles the mind!

This photo induced a traumatic flashback to a family vacation to the Grand Canyon years ago, when our daughter ventured to the very brink of the canyon before we knew it, for a photo-op. She is still with us, but the memory still causes palpatations as though it happened yesterday.

I also feel this way, Doug. Life is precious, and I would be more careful to reduce chances of getting hurt. When I was much younger I would take risks! Maybe it is an issue with getting older.

It's rather Leunig-like Lynn, particularly with the two seagulls above the happy young strider. Excellent stuff.

Agree with Robert. I like the colours very much.

People are so casual about the risk.. surprising given recent publicity about people falling off cliffs while photographing or being photographed, both in the US (Yosemite most recently) and elsewhere (happens here in Oz quite regularly now).

Thanks Mike. Some things, you've just got to stop and photograph!
