Description:

Black G2 kit w/45mm, 90mm and TLA200 flash. If you know, you know.

Recently overhauled and CLA’d by Nippon Photo Clinic in NYC. Likely the best guaranteed to function G2 you can find at the moment. Cosmetically it’s pretty worn, but it performs beautifully. Came with the protective tape on the body when I purchased it, left it on because I think it gives it character. ISO button for setting ISO manually has been working intermittently lately, but camera is set to DX code reading and exposure comp dial can be used to push/pull film if necessary. Neither lens has ever been taken out and shot without the protective UV filter - front element is immaculate on both. 90mm has been used all of 5 or 6 times over the course of 2.5 years. Both lenses come with filter, lens hood, and front/rear caps. TLA flash comes with leather case. G2 comes with body cap as well. I've got the original Contax strap somewhere, I'll try to put my hands on it when I have a chance to look for it.

Looking to get $2250 or trade for a Leica M9 or M240. I’ve got an M4 and looking to get into a digital workflow - selling the G2 would allow me to keep within the same lens system and still be able to shoot film and digital. Only reason I'm considering selling it. I'd be keeping it otherwise, as this holds a lot of sentimental value to me. Let me know if you have questions. I have paperwork if you want verification of overhaul/CLA.

I haven't been able to see if I have feedback on here or not as I can't find the link to that information, but I did purchase a couple of cameras via rangefinder forum over the past couple of years. If my feedback doesn't show, my ebay account has feedback (https://www.ebay.com/usr/ruberc00ber?_trksid=p2047675.l2559), as does my reverb.com account (for selling music gear: https://reverb.com/shop/rubens-gear) . Cheers!

I sold my black G2 set years ago (for M analog) and STILL regret it. Even the M7 was no match. G2 + M9...? Think twice. Once its gone you will likely not get it back. Not many black G2 left.

Peter, the doubt is definitely there, I'm considering keeping it. We'll see what happens.
