Asking Price Shipping Amount Condition
SOLD! ($900.00) None Excellent
Description:

This is it this is the one. SOLD

Please Pardon the iPhone pics. I'm in a move and took these over Holidays.

Rolleiflex 2.8D Xenotar. Freshly Completely  Overhauled by Rollei-master Karl Ehlers on Sept 21,2017.

A Mamiya "A" focus screen was installed and calibrated at that time. It's bright and provides a beautiful focus capability.

This screen is Matte with a center micro-fine area.

Inlcudes Rollei chrome capset and Leather Rollei ERC in nice condition (leather soft with no smell).

This Camera has the nicest condition Xenotar I have seen. Even Karl Commented that the lens looks as though it was never wiped.

Although I have shot several rolls since it was overhauled, My vision has become too unreliable to use a Rollei effectively.

I'm letting  all My TLR's  go ...This is the crown in my set.

Google Karl Ehlers if you like. Decades ago, He used to work along side Harry Fleenor at Rollei Service center. Later running Pro Camera Service in Thousand Oaks CA. He's retired but maintains his Rollei Instruments and I have maintained Contact with him as we live nearby. His work is second to none and he is a fine individual who takes well earned pride in his work. This is the last 2.8 you'll need to buy.

I'm asking $900 via Paypal from RFF members including Insured US Post or $850 Cash in person (Seattle). Price Firm and already very fair. (gripper strap not included it's my old friend and I'll keep it)

Aw, man, sorry to see you selling your Rollieflexes. I wish I could afford it myself, but I wish more for your eye health problems to get better soon. Take care!

Thanks Dave... I'm good. Very optimistic with how it's working out. Very fortunate indeed Smile

If I were richer than I am, I would have entirely too much stuff.
But I would buy this in a second!

Wishing better days for your peepers.

The 2.8D is my all time favorite Rolleiflex TLR model, with a Planar or Xenotar taking lens. It is simplicity and elegance in one. Good luck with the sale.

TFW you see a sweeeeet camera for sale that you don't need but impulsively send the seller an offer to buy, then immediately regret it because it's still a lot of money so you hope someone else bought it first, then you find out someone else bought it first and you still get super disappointed. #thanksbrain #damnedifyoudo

Dear emayoh - same here!  I’m the one who bought it first, but have exactly the same thoughts on the need/money.  That said, I will be sure to put it to good use.  And, Andy’s a very nice seller.

Thanks guys. This was a special one. I can't say enough good things about Mr Ehlers. This camera is working better than any I have held (that's quite a few). It's good it will be in full use. I thought about keeping it for one or 2 rolls a year but that would be too greedy. I don't display my cameras so it would have been closeted away.... it's better to sell.

There may be another 2.8D for sale here in early spring--mine is with Harry Fleenor now, and I had planned to sell it (had indeed sold it) when I discovered its need for shutter servicing. Stay tuned. Take care of those eyes, A.
