Sometimes being a photographer is a very difficult job. Today my assignment was to photograph the arrival of the body of 21-year-old Marine Cpl. Adrian Robles to our local airport. Robles died a week earlier while serving in Afghanistan. His funeral and burial is Saturday. He was met at the airport by his family, including his mother and father and honored with an avenue of flags presented by the Freedom Riders, a group of local bikers who honor the service presented by those who are killed in action while keeping funeral protesters at a distance. Sometimes you have to remember the fallen with honor and respect. I am humbled to have witnessed this scene.
