Thanks Bmoze! Yes, I really like the combination of modern mirrorless Canon R and RP -- cause they're so small -- with M mount and LTM mount Leica lenses. Modern manufacturers seem to be concentrating on huge, heavy lenses. If I'm not planning on photographing people I don't need autofocus and these tiny lenses are super convenient to carry around. I can literally carry a 35mm, 50mm and 90mm in one hand or a very small camera bag.
This was my first outing with this 50mm Elmar. I just bought it and it had the common internal haze which I cleaned out, so I wanted to see how it would handle strong backlighting, as in this scene. I was really pleasantly surprised. In person the glare from the sky made the lake area look really dark and I had to dig detail out of the shadows in post.
