Thank you. This was taken during a lunch time walk at work. The University of Washington fisheries department is close to the medical center. There is a pond where the salmon fry are held prior to their release into Portage Bay. The salmon then travel through the ship canal to Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean. Great Blue Herons and smaller Green Herons gather by the pond to try for a free meal. This particular bird had just left the pond and was resting on a nearby log. A bit of diffuse glow was added to simplify the image.
