Lynnb: From Taiwan, I honestly am not sure what the function of the tree is. They are small handwritten tags hung from the tree, many hundreds (thousands?) of them.

Great image, and it had me kicking myself for letting a Summicron-C 40mm slip through my fingers earlier this week.
