I saw this shot the other week and have found myself thinking about it so I returned to work out why I like it so much.

I like the tight crop, the bright but fading colours. Everything is a little offset, doesn't quite fit, but that just makes it all the more interesting.

Signwriting and using a mahlstick too...nice.

I used some old fresnel hot lights and made a diffuser for the 650w key out of some backlit material, as it was far too harsh for her skin (she aint no spring chicken anymore!) The diffuser peeled away a few years but still allowed for some hard shadows that I like.

No, Chris. It was actually taken with my iphone.
It gives a similiar feel to the 21 but there is much more curvature and distortion.
