I believe that. That is, why I want to have one... But because of the high tax (sums up to nearly 27% of the paid price including shipping) when importing from out of germany, it's not so easy, to buy one...

Sometimes the M9 colours are very Kodak, indeed very Kodachrome. Other times it seems more Fuji. Either way I love it:

Its "Foton" will take five 35-mm. pictures a second, sell for $700. It was a lovely, foggy morning yesterday. I took the opportunity to stop at Guadalupe River Park on the way to work and shoot a few scenes with the M9 fitted with a 1960 Hektor 135mm f/4.5 lens. Here's one:


Leica M9 + Hektor 135mm f/4.5
ISO 1000 @ f/6.7 @ 1/500 second

The old Hektor has a lovely, low contrast feel in this light, don't you think?
