Kodak Retina and Ektra Rangefinders This forum is for 35mm Kodak Retinas and Ektras rangefinders. The Retinas are known for their German engineering, relatively modest price and superb lenses. The Ektras are known as by far the finest 35mm American made rangefinder ever made.

Golly these are lovely little cameras. Someone I worked with gave me a Retina 11a a few years back and after a bit of fiddling a to get it cleaned up and working it is now looking like a nice camera to actually use - I am sad to report that I have not yet done so as I am not shooting much film these days. I will, I will!

I have a Retina 1a that was my father's. It is my plan to used it for my very last roll of Kodachrome. These are such wonderful little machines.
