Roger Hicks -- Author of The Rangefinder Book

Roger Hicks is a well known photographic writer, author of The Rangefinder Book, over three dozen other photographic books, and a frequent contributor to Shutterbug and Amateur Photographer. Unusually in today's photographic world, most of his camera reviews are film cameras, especially rangefinders. See www.rogerandfrances.com for further background (Frances is his wife Frances Schultz, acknowledged darkroom addict and fellow Shutterbug contributor) .

Frances is home again

...about an hour ago. I didn't want to say anything 'til she was through the door. All Aditi and I have to do now is stop her doing too much.

She's lots better and today or tomorrow she will be reading all your kind messages of support in the other two threads.

We both thank everyone very much for your thoughts, prayers, etc. It has made life much easier.

Love,

Roger

Roger and Frances- many happy vibes from here to you both. Follow your doctor's advice and go slowly. The affects of bronchitis can linger, I'm sure you well know. Cheers, and fine days ahead.

Great news. Get her some books or something so she does not move a lot. Bring her flowers and baby her the way she deserves.

Get better soon Frances. Stay HEALTHY Roger and Aditi!

Great news.

Try to slow her down a little. (Like that's going to work.)

Well, if I was looking for a time and location in which to convalesce it would be hard to better being in Aquitaine in the spring. I'm sure you'll make the most of this wonderful time of year.

I agree; the best news I have heard today. If I could get my IIIf fixed and my car though smog it would help too. Say 'Hi' to Frances, good luck.

Wednesday evening. I am enjoying being home. Roger and Aditit cooked me a very tasty soup. In hospital my taste-buds had deserted me (perhaps they were in hiding, although French hospital food is better than British or American).

Roger and Aditi have kept everything in pretty good order, so tomorrow I'll concentrate on resting.

Thanks again for all your prayers and good wishes.

Love,

Frances

Frances, you are in good hands. The three of you should sit back and relax, all of you getting over an illness and the hospital stay. It's a relief to be back home, I'm sure.
