Print Swap

I would be glad to organize a new Print Swap: anybody interested in it?

Print Swap-- I'm all in

Hello Mauro,

Yes, I'm interested in participating. I swapped prints with you before, and received a beautiful print of the statue of Liberty, in San Marino! (It's not the French/New York statue. Different figure, same "inspiration.")

Anyway, Mauro sent some cool stuff. Count me in! It's great to get to know others on the forum.

I'd have to set up my darkroom again, but that's ok - I'm in!

On a side note: how does one pack a print for international shipping? Cardboard tube inside cardboard box?

You pick your print. Last time I participated, the rule was 8x10 print or larger. Can be printed by you, or by a lab. Can be digital or wet.

Sorry I don't do rules ... I just send a print to whomever I'm paired up with, if it gets bogged down with rules I just drop out

This sounds interesting and fun!
Is it an exchange between two photographers or between all participants?

The two postcard projects I've done we printed enough postcards for all participants.
Well, count me in.

Best,

That would be a pity. The more the merrier.

But, I'm with Dave. How does this work?

If the Print Swap was like last time, the organiser gets a list of participants and makes up pairs trying to match guys in different countries. I was paired with a guy in Boston Mass and in our own time we swapped 10"x8" prints. So I sent one print and got one print back. What I decided to be the subject of the print was my choice - no 'rules'. And that was 'it'. No great expenditure but the opportunity to pair up with another RFF member.
If there are an 'odd' number of participants then one 'pair' becomes a 'three'.
I don't print my own but use a digital lab. The print got sent to US in the card flatpack that the lab sent to me. Seemed to get through OK.
Hope all this help.

Please count me in.

jesse

The postcard project sounds like the one for you. I'm waiting for it to come around again also. I picked up some Ilford Postcard stock.
