NEW YAWK - Home of 35mm Photography - Simplex or Tourist Multiple ??

I am interested in doing some articles on the pre-Leica 35mm cameras, such as Tourist Multiple and Simplex Multi-Exposure and other PL 35's.

Contrary to popular Leica lore, hundreds of Americans (thousands?) were shooting 35mm photographs in 1913, over a decade before the Leica was first offered for sale!

Both the Tourist Multiple and Simplex were manufactured in and around New York city, the original home of commercial 35mm photography, not Wetzler. Which of the two was actually offered for commercial sale first depends upon the source you wish to believe.

NEW YAWKERS BE PROUD! Your 35mm heritage is much longer than that Oskar come lately guy from Wetzlar!

Does anyone own a Simplex or Tourist Multiple that I could borrow for the articles ?
