Thank you, Mike.

Very nice print, Blkrcat.

If you want to get rid of the dust on the thin parts of the negative: it is easy to clean the negative before putting it into the enlarger by using a binocular watchmakers loupe under a strong light.

that's a water stain. But I never really bothered with it because I was just looking to see what I could get tonewise using split grade.

Thank you, Erik.
I have some which I purchased locally and this one was printed on the paper from the batch donated to me by RFF member.
Without these papers I wouldn't print. New paper is not in my reach financially.

My first ever printed photos from my first ever home-developed film. I know its nothing special - but I am somewhat satisfied nevertheless. I think I need an easel though

Nice! It is clear that you used gelatin paper because resin coated paper is more flat. The effect is quite original, not unlike cinemascope!

Thank you, Chris.

This is what I use:

enlarger: Focomat IIc (using the 6cm Focotar lens, stopped down to f/8); 35mm carrier for Focomat IIc; paper: Adox MCC 110 (18x24cm); developer: Eukobrom; clock: Hauck Electronic; Leitz enlarging board (masking frame) 40X50cm; drying press Bόscher 50X65cm; Seal Compress 110 (for flattening the prints); Ilford multigrade filters no. 00 and no. 5 (for split grade printing).

No burning or dodging.

developing time: 3 minutes.

No, my Focomat IIc has a filter drawer between the lamp and the condensor. Very convenient.

When taking pictures I never use filters.

erik you've been going to town. Consistent work all around.

I've been printing but not motivated to set up my scanner to scan the prints!

had a great session yesterday. Rainy in Toronto so I'll be printing again today. Ran out of developer though so I have to pick some up. Not sure if I should pick up some warmtone paper while im out or not. I still have a ton of other paper waiting around.

Filed out my 6x7 carrier and I'm loving my 67 prints a lot more with the black borders. Definitely found the tonality to be more in the realm if Erik's 35mm shots!

Will make some scans and post some images up soon! I'm getting a pretty big stack of prints that haven't been shown anywhere.

Picked up some PQ universal developer since I finished my warmtone stuff. Didn't have any other options but I can't say I regret it at all. Really like the look of this PQ stuff. Scanning tonight.

Thanks erik,

I still have a couple more rolls to catch up with so when I get around to printing those I'll make sure to scan them and get them posted sooner than later.

My first print. Quite happy with it although i need to figure out why the enlarger is vignetting past f/5.6.

Congrats! Nice print.

About the vignetting: maybe the lens used is of a too short focal length. I do not know what kind of enlarger you use. So called "universal" enlargers (they can handle both 35mm and 6x9cm) often need a 75mm or 80mm lens. A 50mm lens will cause vignetting.

It can also be the lamp of the enlarger. Usually the lamp can be raised or lowered to produce an even illumination of the projected image.

Thanks Erik,

It is a rollei rolleimat universal enlarger. I have a 6-elements Rokkor lens 50mm f/2.8. I suspect the condenser is not the right one, it is the one for medium format.

Maybe the correct condensor is difficult to get. Then it will be easier to use a 75mm lens.

BTW, I use my medium format condenser with 35mm. I use a 80mm Rodagon lens for everything. I only vignette when I try to use my 50mm and print medium format.

Omega c67 enlarger

Looks like your next purchase is gonna be a nice easel!

This works quite well actually when I pay attention and put the paper properly (beer consumption can make it more difficult).
I managed to find a condenser for 35mm for £20 and bought it. I like using the Rokkor 50 f/2.8 lens to print.
