Photogs / Photo Exhibits This is the place to discuss a particular Photographer (work, style, life, whatever), as well as to post Gallery and Museum Photo Exhibitions and your own impressions of them. As we march on in this new digital world, it is often too easy to forget about the visual importance of the photographic print, as well as their financial importance to the photographer. It is also interesting to remember that some guy named Gene Smith shot with lenses that many lens test reading "never had a picture published in their life" amateurs would turn up their their noses at, as being "unacceptable."

Helen,

I'm so sorry to hear of Eric's illness. I still remember hanging out with the two of you several years back, and for some reason we walked through the revolving doors at the Standard, and then straight back out We took some nice pictures though!

My thoughts are with you and really wishing you both the best!

Helen,

Eric's photos are wonderful, a great eye! thanks for sharing them.

I wish I knew you both better. I was just in NYC, briefly, at the beginning of the month to visit another photographer friend. Missed opportunity to meet... Next time I'm in the area we must get together.

Much love and hugz.

Helen, I have been where you now find yourself, though not with such sudden and precipitous changes. It is heartening to read what Eric has written about his discovery and decision, and most of all his generous encouragement to all those he knows and loves to make memories and share them. I wish you both strength and clarity in what is to come. And I say, keep photographing the present, whatever it holds. Keep making it the gift that keeps giving, as you have given Eric enduring and unforgettable presence here over the years.

Helen, I didn't know about Eric until now and I'm sad to get to know him under these circumstances. A friend of mine was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, so I have some appreciation of your situation.

My best to you and Eric.

Yesterday we brought Eric Home
He is down to skin and Bone
But the Eyes still sparkle, The Mind so Focused, The Optimism and Joy radiates
The body ravaged, but Eric’s Face, Mind, Spirit and Will are still Youthful & Strong
I still have Hope and Faith in the Magick of Life

Thought I would continue with some of Eric's Photos I adore...
