W/NW Pictures you are proud off

After seeing the scan of this one last night, I was really happy. Definitely one of my (usually 5 or so) keepers this year.

Share yours ....

Great picture, Roland!

Here's one of my own favorites. It's not new, some of you have probably seen it in another thread.

I wouldn't actually say I've taken any pictures that I'm particularly proud of; I'm normally my harshest critic and painfully aware of my artistic limits. But I'm certainly going to enjoy reading other people's contributions to this thread if the shots above are anything to go by. Nice work, thanks for sharing! BTW Antti - love that shot!

This was shot in some very challenging light, handheld, and still is crisp everywhere.

I'm particularly pleased with these two, taken last August in the northern part of the Yosemite back country:

Here are four of mine that I truly like. All digital, I don't have any of my film shots I like scanned to share. They'll have to wait until I can afford a scanner.

P.S. I'm still relatively new here, and don't quite understand the W/NW bit, so if I've missed something here, I apologise.

I really like this one - makes me want to get back over to the south west for another visit. My last visit was in 1980.

And don't worry about the W/NW bit. That simply means Words/No Words, meaning you can add words about the photo, or not, as you choose. I think the practice was picked up from the old Leica forum on photo.net, years ago, but it may have been used elsewhere too.

I have only taken a few hundred photos ever. I use a small point and shoot camera. I am not a fine artist or a professional - nor do I want to be. I just try and capture something that people may like to look at. I took some simple advice from one of the experienced guys on a thread and applied it. I am pleased with the improved result. So people may have different levels of being proud I guess

Thanks for looking ...

This was a grab shot with my LX3. I'd noticed the wet reflections off the boardwalk as I was driving and stopped to take a few photos - and then this jogger ran into the frame. I only got one chance.

another one I'm proud of. I was out for a walk and came across this patient dog waiting outside an art gallery.

and finally, this very recent photo, from one of the first rolls of film I'd processed myself for many years. I'm very happy with the end result despite, or perhaps because of, fogging the film.

I was rather pleased with this one. It's one from the 'Mist' series posted here in the Gallery.

I'm a sucker for B&W landscapes. My favorites thus far are Roland's (Ferider), Steve's (Bingley) and Lynn's (Lynnb).

I´m sure many of us wish to be there again, looking with fresh eyes at the world and not thinking about new gear.
