USPS informs me the pancake Fuji 27mm f2.8 I bought from a Fred Miranda participant has arrived at my home in Texas Hill Country.
Presently I'm in Taos, New Mexico

Will introduce this lens to his new partner, the little Fuji X E2, sometime next week.

Suspect they shall never part.

€15 Flea Market pick. Canon Dial 35

Coerced it back to life and it's got a roll of Double-X in it at the moment.

Also waiting on a Bell&Howel 6in f/4.5 Eymax lens for an Eyemo 71-Z

Thanks, Shawn, I have high hopes.
small camera + small lens

Some consider "41mm" a strange FL but I like it.

I have an X-M1 with 27mm in my bag at all times. It takes up almost no room and makes great photos.

I put it next to an Olympus Trip 35, it's almost exactly the same size and the lens has the same aprx. 40mm coverage.

No viewfinder on the X-M1, but I get by. I'm sure it's great on an XE2.

Nikon F4 camera body with MB-20 and DP-20

I think I'll be needing a wider strap than usual for this rig...

Nikon F4, the best camera I've ever hated. It's such a weighty pig.

Just ordered a Peak Everyday Sling 5L bag. Should be here in the next couple of days. Never tried the sling option before. My Domke F-5xb and ONA Bowery are going up for sale. Hoping the sling type will be easier on my back and shoulders.

Got a call from the local thrift shop that I won their silent auction.

Picked it up today. I opened the beat-up leather case to find a pretty sweet looking Pentax ME with a very nice looking Pentax-M 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens.

Not bad for $10.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! The Everyday Sling 5L has been my standard "walking about" bag for a while, presuming a small kit. I just wish it would stay in place on my back more securely when I'm bicycling, thus my latest purchases.

I got the smallest battery pack for that very reason, but it's still no lightweight.

I will only be using it exclusively with manual focus lenses so I also picked up a "J" microprism screen.

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 100-300mm f/4-5.6. Micro-4/3 has its flaws as a format, but it does offer a lot of reach for little money.

Re: What have a I just bought?

A Horseman Convertible, black, with 62mm f5.6 lens, 6x7 and 6x9 backs. I also bought some cut film holders for it and a Polaroid back. Oh yes, and then an older 6x9 Wista ground glass back, which seats properly on the camera, but I think it needs adjustment for the focus plane to be right. I've not finished yet. I'm looking for accessories for this camera. An optical viewfinder (65mm for 6x9 or 28mm for 35mm), for example. That would make it much easier to use.

A re-print of an English-language Manual for my Welta Weltax 6x6/6x4.5.

A 25mm push on UV filter and a 25mm push on kodak 'cloud' filter, which according to the small instruction leaflet is a light yellow filter. I'll be using it with XP2 super, which I'm led to believe reacts with filters to a higher degree than normal film so I think it'll have an effect that's more like a dark yellow filter.

These two filters will be used with my Welta Perle 6x9. I'm beginning to think that I should be using 24mm push on accessories for it.

Would anyone believe me if I said an Olympus µ-II?

From a charity shop and it looks like new and seems to work as there was a film in it within minutes of getting home...

Seems no worse than your average DSLR, and I hear they're pretty popular.
Certainly as good or better than several medium format cameras I have owned...

Rescued a Nikon F2 with DW-2 finder from a charity shop in Edinburgh. Probably need to find an eye level finder for it though.

Received a 20mm f/2.8 FD lens as a wedding gift so I technically didn't buy it but it's the latest addition. I did just purchase a copy of "Doisneau." I'm planning on picking up Mark Seliger's latest book as well later this week or next.

A tiny beautiful (and cheap) Kodak No.0 Brownie now that I have seen that respooling 120 to 127 is not so complicated. I've already a couple of No.2 Brownies.

Used Zeiss ZM 25f2.8. It fills the gap between 21 and 35. Have heard it is the sharpest lens in the Zeiss line up. Guess we will see.

My Goerz Ango, a.k.a. Anschütz camera, made c.1908 in Germany. The focal plane shutter was the fastest when first patented in 1888. This was an advanced model, but still with a complex array of levers to operate it. And it works still flawless, although I've problems with developing the "quarter plate" format sheets it uses.

PD:Any ideas for developing large format (not being the more usual 4x5) in daylight methods? Adapting a MOD54 or similar? Puting a lone "quarter plate" sheet in a Patterson tank?

I got one of these recently too, but I had to replace it’s crispy shutter curtains. It didn’t come with any film holders either...maybe one day I’ll find some for it.

Thanks! A week ago actually. We just planned a trip back to NYC and did the courthouse deal then had brunch with some friends in Brooklyn.

Also, I picked up a bulk loader and I'm probably gonna buy 100ft of FP4 next week. I love Tri-X and I think FP4 will compliment it well when I need a slower speed film.
