Visible on every 6th frame as well as several others. Suspected a camera malfunction, but thinking that it could be a film manufacturing issue?
Put the film back in the camera as it was shot (upside down, reversed). Have the banding go one frame or more to each side as well as sitting in the opening. The location will show you where the leak is happening. Remember, lots of time a leak happens after the film is exposed and is wound forward.
Sounds like a missing or decayed seal. Depending on handling ofthe camera and on light angles, you can get sporadic leaks like you describe. Push on the back in various areas and see if there is a lot of flex.
The 35RC foam usually has turned to gum. See if they have been updated.
Yep, posting images here is a trip back in time.
