Yes, Helen, I agree with you about the Color Skopar 50mm f/2.5.

I shoot with the following lenses on my M6 and M10:

21mm f/1.4 Leitz
35mm f/1.4 Zeiss
90mm f/2 Leitz

I do not need another lens. These three are all I really need.

However, if I were forced to replace the three lenses I already own with Voigtländer lenses, I would buy:

21/1.8 M
35/1.4
75/1.8 M

On the other hand, if I were forced to add a Voigtländer to the three M lenses I already own, I would probably add the 50mm f/1.1 lens.

Narsuitus, this is a good question!

"If I were forced to replace the three lenses I already own with Voigtländer lenses, I would buy"

I would buy: 50mm f/2.5 LTM black, 35mm f/1.7 LTM black and 50mm f/1.1 M.

My favorite voigtlander lens designs are:
1. 50/3.5
2. 21/4
3. 15/4.5

Just phenomenal optics for the price.

Recently I've got a black collapsible Heliar 50mm f/2. It is one of my favorites now. It has a remarkable 'sudden' passage from sharp to unsharp wich produces a 3D effect.

Leica MP, Heliar 50mm f/2 collapsible, 400-2TMY, printed on Adox MCC 110.

I have too many lenses. But of my Voigtländer lenses, the Color Skopar 28mm f/3.5 and the new HyperWide 10mm f/5.6 are the two that I find myself reaching for most of the time recently, the latter in particular. The 10mm is a superb match to the Leica CL for ultra-wide shooting.

I have been eyeing this lens, Helen. I agree with the special rendering!

I have:
21/4 LTM
25/4 LTM
28/3.5 LTM
35/2.5 LTM
40/1.4 M

I can't speak for the ones I don't have, but I'm very happy with the performance of the ones I do own. I'd rather the 25/4 be rangefinder coupled, but the scale focusing works out fine in actual practice. I don't really have a favorite, but the 28/3.5 and 35/2.5 have been my most used.

The Color-Skopar 28mm f/3.5 performs way above its price point. It's one superb little lens.

Great with film in particular. It's not so good a match to FF digital sensors, showing some color shifting with most of them. But with APS-C digital sensors, it's nearly flawless.

It is the perfect match with any Leica Monochrom, rendering wonderfully subtle gray tones. Also the smallest M lens I own, body-cap sized only bested in that characteristic alone, by the MS Optics 28/2.

- 21/4 LTM: very good on film.
- 21 / 1.8 M: excellent also on digital, no color shift problem. I use it with great satisfaction on the Leica M9 and Nikon Z6. It has a rendering very similar to the classic Leica m lenses.
- 40 / 1.4 M: very good on film but never satisfied me on digit.

I currently own the
28mm F2 Ultron and
35mm F1.4 Nokton MC II

Out of these two I gravitate to the 28 F2 the most especially as my walk around street photography lens. For portraits I'm trying to warm up to using the 35 Nokton since I recenlty purchased it and also because 35mm is my go to on my Sony A7RIII camera.

Have a 3,5/28 LTM on my Monochrom when 28 is called for. Great tonality and the tiniest lens I own.
