Do you currently own a Leica camera?

This is a poll by which I want to figure out how many RFF members still own some Leica camera(s).
This includes any Leica camera at all.

Yes, I have a IIIF with a 5cm Elmar, 9cm Elmar, and 13.cm Hektor. I would love to get a 3.5cm Elmar or Summaron some day.

Hi Raid,

It might be interesting to include options like: film Leica, digital Leica, both.

Currently I own 5 Leicas: four are film bodies; one is a Monochrom.

I own a Leica MP & Leica M6TTL for film. I just took advantage of the Leica upgrade program since my sensor was bad in the M9 and will be getting a MP 240.

But there's Leica, and then there's Leica.

I own three Leica's: one M7 a la carte; one M6 TTL and one M6 Millennium Edition. I am planning to sell the M7 a la carte which you can see here:
https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2657/...38e7b488_b.jpg. by Out to Lunch, on Flickr

If anyone interested, please let me know and we'll do the transaction through the RFF 'classifieds' page.

Cheers, PW

Cool Raid! I think that the more information you collect, the better. I'd suggest these categories:

1. Screwmount
2. M2, 3, 4, 4-2, 4-P, 5
3. MP, M6, 7
4. M8, 8.2
5. Full frame digital
6. Fixed lens digital
7. None

This breakdown is information rich, and you can always add them altogether to give the info that your simple poll gives. JMO

Zero for me; i could afford a film body, but not a Leitz lens. Zero chance ever for me buying a digital Leica body ...

A second M9. Sold the first and missed those crisp CCD images. The second was purchased used and had the sensor replaced before I bought it.

Raid,

You are tied with me at 5 Leicas.

With only 50 votes it is interesting to see a 40/10 split in the poll which translates into 80% own at least one Leica. Many own more than one.

Let's see if 80% remains as the votes add up.

I have an M7 with Zeiss objectives - bought partly as a means to figure out if it was viable to switch from Canon (5DII/III) to a digital M camera.

I really enjoy using the M7. However, given the place that Leica is currently at for price/performance/reliability, and their apparent focus on special editions (styling) rather than focus on making better photographic tools, it is difficult to imagine myself committing to the system any more than I already have.

An M2 and an M4P. I sometimes wonder if I would be better served selling both and getting an M7
