I also read it somewhere. Just rumors really, I remember saying that for Olympus back in 2006 too.

I read about this someplace else yesterday. Considering the sorry state of the camera industry at present, it wouldn't surprise me if this rumor was true.

Aside from which nothing Olympus ever did after the OM1 really mattered ... that was their finest hour!

Ken Wheeler says Olympus is leaving consumer and pro camera and camera lenses as a business. Tony Northrup is kind of on the fence on this and Peter Forsgard says this is not going to happen.

So, on one hand we have one guy with a cap inside his car saying that someone told him that Olympus is shutting in 8 months and on the other hand we have Olympus officially refuting those rumors..


Hmm... i dont know which one to believe....

Hmm... i don't know which one to believe....
But.. But... BUT the not-second-hand source is a minimum of three levels down from top management!! And every large corporation gives bottom rung employees insider information 8 months ahead of time. What could possibly go wrong?
