OT, completely OT: Who is this celebrity?

I was out at the King Cole bar at the St. Regis hotel in New York before the holidays and in walks this celebrity. My friend and I have been debating whether others will believe we did meet this person based on this picture. So, who do you think it is (the guy with the light coloured hair)?

The image quality is very bad, the St. Regis is so dark it makes the red light bulb of darkroom seem like the Sun. These two images were taken from the hip on Delta 3200 likely at f/1.4 or f/2.

Cheers,

I'm definitely thinking it's Sting. (How do you know it's a celebrity?)

Definitely looks like Der Stingel, but could be Tina Yothers for all I know.

sorry moderator. I just noticed the OT forum after posting. I was about to remove and repost (or move if possible), but then I saw all the traffic. Is it too late to move?

Would OT still be OT if it's posted in OT?

Cheers,

Well she *is* America's sweetheart...oh wait...that's TV's "Blossom," Mayim Bialik.

I've had too much coffee, obviously.

I have to come clean...

it is actually Craig from Tennessee! Let me explain. We were at the bar and in walks this guy. I said "hey look there's Sting". I was kidding, at first, thinking it was just a lookalike, but then I felt badly, because it started to look like the real thing and I didn't want to have ruined his privacy. So we started to see clues where there weren't any (why would these strangers be looking at him if it wasn't Sting... Why would these women be talking to him if that wasn't Sting... Listen to the accent...). We eventually struck up a conversation with Craig/Sting and continued to fool ourselves (Craig's just an alias for Gordon which is his real name). Well it went from bad to worse including my friend getting on the shoulders of a former Washington Redskins football player (if you've been to the St. Regis you'll know this is definetely not standard) for a pretend chicken fight. So the next day we started telling people that we had partied with Sting and that we had pictures to prove it. Since the two pictures are quite blurry it plays to our advantage, but I wanted to see if someone who wasn't there would also "see" Sting.

I hope you don't feel duped. It was all intended in good fun. Thanks for providing your input. And if you are Craig from Tennessee, you might have a career as an impersanator.

Roxannnnnnne...

Topdog1, it was Craig from Tennessee. Just some guy who strolled in to the St. Regis with his Sharper Image bag. How do you confuse a southern accent with a British accent?! I don't know, must have had something to do with our multi-stop bar hopping.

I see.. so he really wasn't a "celebrity"; that is, unless "Craig From Tennessee" has somehow made a name for himself by doing something that is newsworthy (other than crime of course)
