Konica Minolta capsizes, exiting camera biz

Well, this news certainly bites:

Naturally, I'll keep on keeping on with my Hexar RFs (and, by association, my Minolta 5400 film scanner), but ti htink the bigger problem might lie with the remaining players in the market: right now I'm wondering about Olympus and Nikon, in that order.

And when 6mp camera/phones become the norm, might that upend the whole game for the "old line" manufacturers (with the possible exception of Leica and Zeiss, both of which might actually be breathing slightly easier at the moment)?
