Hi, icebear, sorry to hear that. Actually, the site where I uploaded my photos is not stable recently. Somethimes, I can't open pictures even in China. Think they are updating the system. Hope things will turn better.

Thank you John for your kind words.

I've recently acquired a 2nd-hand M246 and am still learning. Just shot a few test shots.

Just got my 75/2.5 Summarit back from Frank Marshman. I don't know if anyone else here has that lens, but I've had this persistent problem with the front assembly loosening. I think we finally have it solved.

Not bad for wide open at f/2.5, ISO 2000.

Hi Vince,

as of last year I worked a lot with my 2/75, no issues whatsoever with this lens, which I got used for only slightly more than a new summarit. Close up and wide open 2.0 give very shallow dof which I like. 2.5 shouldn't be far behind. Show some more with the Summarit.

Here with 2/35asph.

Another pair of 75/2.5 Summarit photos, both wide open. I haven't gone on any excursions in a while, so I'm relegated to shooting around the house:

These guys look like right out of an idealized movie scene, esp. Mitch #2.
Or at least they look like it in your images. Are these for "real" characters or is your vision and processing helping the story?
Anyway great shots, congrats.

Thanks Klaus -- these gents are friends of a friend of mine out in Laurel, Montana. Another fellow (not pictured) has built an Old West 'town' on his property, and every so often they stage a reenactment of sorts. I was there when they were rehearsing, and the great thing is that they're about as period-authentic as you can get. The 'town' is amazing - one building is a saloon, one is a pool hall, one is a post office and so on. I hope to be back out there soon!

^^ I like this one better than the gas town image. I'm not sure why, maybe better balance in the frame.

Thanks for the comment Klaus.

The left (bright) side of the Gastown image (actually they are both from within a block or two is a bit light to balance the interior which interested me more. Maybe I should have taken more care to increase contrast on that half of the image. I haven't been shooting lately with MM so I saw the files and decided to play with and post them. Your knife edge inspires me but I was also considering a Camera and Coffee image for that thread, and I could do it with Monochrom. Always fun to shoot around the kitchen!
