Raymond Moore was an English photographer who seemed able to find the edge of civilization especially on dark, wet, cold English days.

This is the edge of civilization California style: ready for the next onslaught of houses on a typical blazing sunny day:

Hey - thank you sir! I used a +1 close-up screw-in. IIRC the brand is Haida. Five bucks well spent.

Thankfully, the 200/4 is one of the more affordable lenses for the 6x7 system. I have an older S-M-C Takumar version (with a built in hood) that I seldom use. If you're interested, maybe we can work out a deal.

dourbalistar, i'm always super impressed by your film scans. so crisp, clear, and perfectly sharp (i.e. not overly so) -- have you ever described your process and workflow here? if not, care to share?

Thank you, Brandon. I can't remember if I've shared here, but this post describes my process and workflow a bit. I almost never apply any additional sharpening in my post processing.

Hi everyone !

A small question. I just bought a Pentax 6x7 body with a broken chain.
I have a TTL Prism, but I'll be using only my handheld Sekonic meter.
Is there any other function of the camera that is affected by the broken chain ?

No, I believe that's the only function of the chain. Congrats on your "new" 6x7, it's a handful and a darn fine camera!

^Nice shot, I used to go to Olympic Hot Springs for a bath and swim when I was a kid. My parents had a cabin on Port Ludlow. My photos were not this beautiful.
