From the look of these images, Mike, I'd say spring is beyond the doorstep! :-) Thanks for posting them.

You're putting that 'rig' to very nice use on the street! I hadn't contemplated using mine for street photography, thinking the size of the camera/lens might put people off. But you seem to be disproving that. :-)

Thanks, Jamie, I think the Sd Quattro (and Quattro "H") is a great all around camera capable of doing whatever one wants it to do; sometimes it just takes a little old school film camera type thinking.

A few more images using the Sd Quattro and 30mm "Art" lens from last Fall.

I have to say that looking at the examples in both threads I definitely like the H better ... though there isn't a lot in it. I'm not quite sure why ... maybe the H has better dynamic range or something but it just seems a lot more subtle to me.

From Kool Aid to Kool Aid.

My sd Quattro is only a very recent acquirement, but despite the horror stories I've heard about focusing, EVF blackout, post processing woes etc, I am happy to report that I am actually in deep, deep smit with my Quattro - not to mention Sigma as a company.

Anyway, to whit, I'm still substituting cats with random things, inclusive of myself, when it comes to the obligatory "test" shot (which is what we call things that aren't very creative or visually dramatic )

I have been using the SDQ for a year in regular rotation, and other than the nose-mashing VF inconvenience, it is a fabulous tool. I mostly shoot 6x7, but also 6x6 and 21x9, and at iso100 as much as possible.
I am way behind on uploading and developing images, but here are a few, mostly with the 30/1.4. More to come with 17-50 and 18-300.

Thanks, Mike. I mostly treat the SDQ as a monochrome machine and use 6x7 as my default ratio. But last summer in NYC I had a day where all I used was 21x9 for people in cityscapes, looking for symmetries and imbalances of all kinds. I have uploaded only a few to RFF so far. Meanwhile the processing backlog lengthens....

This one is local, in Trinidad Bay:

Stargazer lily

Golden-rayed lily of Japan

Lilium philadelphicum, also known as the wood lily, Philadelphia lily, prairie lily or western red lily, it's a perennial species of lily native to North America.

All are blooming along Nihon Odori Boulevard, Yokohama, Japan.
