I've got a similar device that's been sitting here in my bookshelf for a few years, waiting to be constructed. Its a "Sharan Wide 35 Panoramic Pinhole Camera". Now I just need someone to make a CMOS sensor to put in the back. :-)

Pinhole cameras are a dime a dozen. The novel aspect here is the book format.
