I just picked up a Minox GT-E last week from Kurt's Camera Corral in Abq, who're going under after more than half a century in business.

It includes (not shown) the half case with removable cover, manual and box. I checked out the shutter prior to purchase, with the back open, and it appears to be functioning normally. I currently have a roll of Ektar 100 loaded, I'll post the results.

The ubiquitous Trip 35, the first "real" camera that I ever used in high school photography. Sadly this one's a shelf queen only as the selenium cell has failed. The skin was a freebie that Aki Asahi threw in with another Trip 35 skin order that I made years ago.

I just picked up Minox 35EL

I've wanted to buy a Minox 35 of some sort or another since I haunted camera stores as a poor college student more than 30 years ago. At the time I lucked out and bought an Olympus XA in a pawn shop, which sorta filled that need, but I still really wanted one of these Minox cameras.

Then I saw a Minox 35 EL in a thrift shop while killing time before picking up my oldest daughter from a school theater rehearsal. Score!

Minox 35 EL by Scott Kucera, on Flickr

I bought some 1/3N batteries, popped them in, and the light meter came to life, so I loaded a roll of film. The roll I had is 36 exposures, so I still have quite a few exposures yet to snap. I'm eager to see if it works well. I'll post some pictures after I develop the roll.

Nice hood - never seen one of those before.

Since there is no forum for scale focus or viewfinder 120 cameras, I will post this here.

I always think of this as a "sleeper" camera. It's my Kodak Pony IV. Manual everything, but it has one of the sharpest lenses I've ever used. I never could find the exposure cards that originally came with it, but fortunately, the speed and aperture setting are on the underside of the lens barrel.

I found this at a local store with a supposedly broken meter. I paid $80.(could not resist the rescue). I cleaned the batterie comparttment and got the adapter for it. It's no 8008 for metering but it works!
Taken w iPhone :-(
