W/NW: Arches

I'm gonna hate myself for starting this one because it's Thursday and I only now came up with the idea. I won't be able to access my pic data base again until Sunday night!

And you folks are going to go "all over the place" with this and I will be "frustrated"! But anyway here goes -- three from an abandoned monastery near Oaxaca, Mexico.

Oh, yes, I do figure someone here has a picture of the "golden arches"!

This is the Radial Railway Arch. It was built in 1909 to support a trestle over the Holland River and is one of the earliest reinforced concrete arches in Canada. The railway ceased operation in 1930.
Shot was taken April 20, 2006, Kiev 4a, J8m, Silvertone 400 (rated at 200 and developed in 1:100 Rodinal).

Kmallick, great perspective, and the bird just about to land brings action and life to it.
