All going to Russia or china I think. Very doubtful if any of this will ever be recovered. Sorry for everyone who's affected

Hope they catch them.
Lots of CCTV and numberplate recognition cameras in the UK.

There must be close to a million pounds worth of stuff gone making it one of Scotlandís largest robberies ?

Itís still a mere fraction of their overall stock, but has halved the number of pages on line showing Leica items.
Much of this is commission items FSOB.
The items I have with them on commission sale seem to have escaped the haul. Insurance for those less lucky might not be quick.

I was thinking that and a ready market.
I don`t imagine that you can get rid of that lot a piece at a time on eBay.

This a really troubling development . Quality outfits such as Ffordes are few and far between. I hope the thieves get caught and punished. Here’s hoping this doesn’t threaten the viability of Ffordes .

Going straight to the Zorki M factory for re-shelling!

But seriously, this is very sad. I feel bad for the folks at Ffordes, I have had only good experiences with them. And bad for the owners of equipment on consignment sale.
Bummer, bummer... damn thieves!

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Such a heartbreak for the company and staff. Over the years I've bought a number of bodies and lenses from Ffordes: they're really lovely people to do business with.

I really feel for them.

They`ve posted a very positive message on FB saying that its not going to break them and they`ve dusted themselves off and its business as usual.

As I understand it, Ffordes are one of four photography businesses hit recently, including Clifton Cameras.

Krasnogorsk needed more innards for the new Zenits, I guess.

Joking aside, that's a crazy level of theft. They would have known what they were taking, definitely. Probably on order with a client (black market dealer) waiting.

I too have bought, and sold with Ffordes many times over the years. I'm sorry for them and their clients to suffer at the hands of scumbag thieving toe-rags.
