I shot HP5+. Was peeved at the light print of the index numbers on the backing paper -- I had already wound past the first 2 frames before I saw anything in the red glass. The practice roll of 120 I've been experimenting with has nice big, dark numbers.

These are all mild crops. The outdoor shots were all 1/300 at f16. The last shot has some camera movement, but, I can't not like it.

Indoor shot was 1/10 at f8, hand braced on a wooden stool, so, smaller aperture on a tripod would have been better.

I like the negatives -- they scanned well, and I had less dust to touch up than I've been getting with 35mm negs.

Hello
Very nice job, did you develop and if so what was your method?
Thanks

Thanks, Don. Plain vanilla: D76, 1:1, 68.5 degrees, 10.5 minutes -- same as I've been using for 35mm Tri-X in a small tank.

Iím looking carefully at an Agfa Ansco Sure Shot box camera. Unused, in the box, one my Dad had collected decades ago. At about 12 oz or so, a damn easy way to get a big neg, how good are the images? Dunno yet but I understand central sharpness can rival the best. Who knows? Itís a quality built camera and puts Kodakís offerings to shame. Maybe a test run on 100 BW, then see what big ektachrome will look like.

The camera has flip down doors to shorten the image opening to allow 16 images per roll. I assume this also gets an area of best performance from the lens .

A long time ago, in those heady days of conspicuous consumption that were the 1990s, I bought a New Mamiya 6 kit. I was so intimidated by the camera and the format that it remained untouched for 20 years! Finally, I summoned the courage to "unbox" the thing and OMG what a wonderful camera it is. It has become my favourite in so many ways. Here are a couple of B&W landscapes from my home in British Columbia.

Cheers, Greg

I know I miss much of the point with MF (sharpness, lack of grain, tonal range, all that stuff..), but that's what keeps coming out of my mind and cameras.
