Apart from that have a Rolleiflex 3.5F, the odd Minolta XD7, Hasselblad 500cm, a Topcon Super D and an Intrepid 5x4 large format (not the half of it but I am clearing them out, honest).

I do all my own black and white developing at home.

Hi Peter,

The process, which others had posted elsewhere in other fora, was as follows:

* Pre-wash at 20C for three minutes.
* Developer in, normal working strength, invert continuously for 1 minute then stand for forty five minutes.
* Rinse continuously under the tap for three minutes (20C). changing the water every 30 secs.
* Blix in, normal working strength, invert continuously for 1 minute then stand for 1 hour.
* Rinse 'the Ilford way' - 5 inversions, flush; ten inversions, flush; twenty inversions, flush.
* Stabiliser in, no agitation, 1 minute.
* Hang and dry.

So the whole process takes around two hours. I suppose a ten-minute tap-rinse would work instead of the Ilford method, but would take longer and use more water. I'm on the 5th - 8th timings for Tetenal instructions, having done several films at 30C or 38C, but don't know how the degradation of chemicals affects stand development. I've also had the chemistry sitting around (stoppered bottles, full to brim in darkness) for about four months, so this might affect things too.

Thanks - that's fascinating. I might give that a try as I hate the constant inversions required in colour developing, but I have a six film backlog...

Ahh... I've been given an Olympus Trip 35 and I'm running a roll of Kodak Pro Image 100 through it at the mo. I've developed this the Tetenal 30C way before, but I shall stand-develop this one and compare results.

I couldn't believe it!
