Nikon Df-GR1 review

Only drawback is they're not really available here in the States. I was able to get one, brand new, off the auction site, they come from Japan.

Best,

I found a Tarion grip on Amazon for forty usd. It fits well and is grooved for Arca-Swiss.

Wish the Df will get an upgrade but most likely that's not going to happen. One advantage is not having to convert (almost all) older non-AI Nikkors, and the camera recognizing the aperture setting and saving it in the metadata.

For those who are wondering, the guy did end up riding along safely after the momentary distraction

No other camera I have owned, including my F2 which is sexy as all get out, has generated more inquisitiveness than my Df. I think it is because it is big and covered in dials and numbers and they don't know quite what to think of it. A whole lot of is that a film camera questions followed by looks of surprise when answered. It's sort of weird.
